Zeaeaek was once connected to a minor noble household in Velarium, trusted with logistical access rather than authority. Using this position, he deliberately altered the route and timing of a protected passage used by a noble family. The change was small and easily overlooked, but it left the family exposed. The passage was intercepted, and the noble household was killed. The incident was recorded as an external attack, and no immediate investigation followed.

After the event, Zeaeaek disappeared. His absence was not questioned at first, as losses of minor figures were common. The truth emerged later through Sevran, who noticed inconsistencies in transit records and survivor accounts circulating in Ordo. By tracing these discrepancies back through messengers and schedules, Sevran identified Zeaeaek as the point where the information had been altered. Sevran reported this directly to the nobles, providing enough detail to confirm intent rather than accident.

Zeaeaek was found and taken without trial. No sentence was declared. Instead, the nobles decided that execution would grant him finality, something they refused to give. He was brought to Morin Pass and left there. The pass did not kill him, but it did not allow him to return either. Since that day, Zeaeaek has remained at the threshold not as punishment alone, but as a reminder that some actions do not end, they only remove a person from the world they tried to alter.
