Map of DRENN

DRENN
Drenn is the highest and most unforgiving region of Orendon.
It was never built to become a city; it exists only as a boundary for those capable of enduring it. Jagged mountain ridges, constant mist, and narrow paths separate Drenn from the rest of the world. Most who arrive here come with a purpose, but very few return as the same person.

Life in Drenn is not built on order. There are no laws here only balance. Strength is not rewarded, and weakness is not immediately erased. The people of Drenn believe in endurance above all else. Stone dwellings, paths carved into rock, and temporary shelters are the result of this mindset. Survival here is not earned through labor, but through resistance. Cold, hunger, and isolation are not enemies in Drenn; they are instructors.

This region also serves as a refuge for those who wish to disappear from Orendon. Some are sent here, others come by choice. Some seek escape from their past, others aim to rebuild themselves entirely. For this reason, little is known about the people of Drenn. Names hold no value here only the manner in which one survives.
Drenn looks down upon the rest of Orendon, yet it never seeks to rule it. It does not accept the nobility of Velarium, nor does it desire the crowds of Ordo. Those who live here consider themselves part of Orendon, but they belong nowhere. Drenn is not a land of belonging it is a land of resilience.

Throughout Orendon’s history, many figures have passed through Drenn. Some were shaped by it, others were lost within it. This is why Drenn is spoken of not as a place, but as a threshold. Once crossed, a trial begins and no one knows when it will end.
